The quench for reading and learning started at a very young age. I was one among the students who excelled in studies up to 2nd std, but the real struggles posed in when I was moved to matriculation, a new environment, new teachers and everywhere and everything, where I turned, was new. It instilled a fear in me and my marks got deteriorated. And the journey of reading begins at that age.

There was a famous saying

Miles to go before I sleep…but pages to read before I sleep became my mantra

I started to focus on building my vocabulary and utilized all the sources around me. I would walk on holidays to the public library available in my town to read magazines, books, and newspapers. My communication started to be precise and it pulled out confidence in me. To everyone around, read at least a few lines and learn daily, it will put you in a place that you haven’t imagined. Whenever I walked into a bookstore my hands would go to shelves on the journal self-improvement, psychology, and motivation.

Here are a few of my favourite picks,

The Alchemist — Paulo Coelho ❤️

This book has captured the hearts and minds of millions of people around. It portrays the importance of following one’s dreams and finding the purpose of life. It’s a must-read for anyone who wants to focus on their dreams and live a meaning full life.

You can win — Shiv Khera🖤

A simple book with easy phrases of the language, one of my top pics. It is a must-read for anyone who is seeking motivation to move forward in life, it energised and instilled great confidence in me.

The monk who sold his Ferrari- Robin Sharma💛

“The boundaries of your life are merely a creation of the self.”

This is an excellent self-help book, it taught me to value myself and my time. This book encourages you to follow your calling and do what makes you happy.

Think like a monk — Jey Shetty💙

one more on the self-help criteria. It combines some ancient wisdom coupled with Jay’s personal experiences and added to it with a dash of neuroscience to explain how we can all change the habits of thought that we fall into and it also gives practical advice and tools that you can use to implement into your life

5 AM CLUB — Robin Sharma🧡

High victory is made in those early morning hours when no one’s watching and while everyone else is sleeping”

It’s a little dragging book, one might feel easily bored in the middle of the read. But the ultimate theme is to know the purpose of waking up early and joining the 5 AM club.

Infinithoughts-Mahatria💙

A Magazine that pulled my attention during my college days. Mahatria’s message in every magazine published will be your life lesson in one or the other way. The articles featured by multiple experienced and budding bloggers will throw an insight into how you could lead your life. Must be read for the younger generation. I am so crazy about this magazine, to the extent that I even applied for the editor role ;P

The Secret — Book by Rhonda Byrne 💕

One of the Life-Changing books for me. It shares the unleashed mantra

“THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS”

This book shows an example of how other people manifested their life by conspiring their thoughts

Lot more to be added to this list, to be continued in another blog post. I shall post a detailed review of all these books in the upcoming days.
